love is complicated /

l// The almost completed series for a set of cards dealing with the subject of tricky relationships. The inside of the card will be the coffee cup verses the camomile tea and the rest are all covers apart from the mint green envelope, LOVE LOVE green this month. The one you probably won't get is the one that shows a relationship between a piece of tofu and a fillet of steak.

l// last year we had a funny conversation about animal noises and our friend Tess (hello Tess!) pointed out that in Japan they say wan wan instead of woof woof... I just had a look at some more of their terms... classic.

hairy balls/

l// These three little hairy balls are from elba and have recently been upgraded to my shelf of found beautiful things. I have it from a slightly dodgy source that they are balls that are formed in the blow holes of whales and that once they are shot out of the blow holes they wash up on the beach... amazing hey!! Funny that I think that these are soo stunning but show me a hairball and I would not be putting it on my third highest shelf... YUCK! If anyone knows anything about these balls, like perhaps if you know that they are actually whale droppings, please let me know asap so that I am saved from the humiliation of beautiful poo...

camomile and coffee/

l// This is a book I made for Sasha to mark her first year of life. The book is made up of french folded pockets so that I can slip little messages between the pages, I will give it to her when she is old enough to appreciate it.... Since having Sasha in my life I have been finding objects in the strangest places, today I found my deodorant in the fridge! I put it on and in this summer heat it was very refreshing, I've decided to leave it in there... feel free to do the same, it's a treat in the heat! Maybe down in Australia you can keep yours near the kettle...
