L// Here are a few shots from our recent trip to Russia & the Ukraine. I was shocked by a few things. COLOUR - very bold choices for such large buildings. BEAUTY - I had never associated St Petersburg or Kiev with beauty but they are quite stunning. VODKA - you always joke about it but it really is everywhere, you get free shots in tourist shops and upon entering certain restaurants, good for business I suppose! FOOD - maybe it's just nostalgia from being fed Russian food by my grandma, but the food was the most exciting part for me, it's all about salt and it's all about big meals. YOU MUST EAT! ok....

I heart espana /

m// Im having homeoffice today and quite a few things on the agenda, but being the procrastinator that i am id rather be feeding sweet fruity with treats from the latest in my life and mind.. I can´t seem to get my mind of this love affair of mine... an ongoing affair with delicious ESPANA. I havent been there for over 7 years, but my recent trip confirmed that the feelings were still going strong! These photos are from ALICANTE where my family has a holiday apartamento. nyc take two/

L// Went to NYC recently and these pics (thoms photos) capture some of the highlights for me... probably the most notable strangly enough was the highline park.... exciting I know!!! But seriously this park is insane. Made on the disused ramp of and old railway the park is a long and skinny gem through downtown manhattan. It is truly a very special spot on this planet. I love it when disused space finds a good home in the heart of the local mischief seekers.
My top five
1. The High Line Park
2. The food, eat anywhere, its all great (especially 11th street cafe, thanks Alex!)
3. The Guggenheim.. magic, great view of the park
4. DUMBO (Down under Manhattan and Brooklyn Overpass) creative hub
5. Central Park... it's big

belfast /

l// safely home from our adventures in Northern Ireland with bellies full of fifteen, (a lovely sweet treat with fifteen ingredients) heads full of new knowledge, (to do with the conflict between English Irish (Protestants) and Irish English (Catholics)), and legs full of scabs (fell over at the giants causeway and ripped my knee open). The only thing I would change would be to have had a belly full of fourteens.... does anybody like glazed cherries?!!!
