l// so today I'm pretty keen on the idea of being Charley Harper. For starters... what a great name, and for mains... how incredibly lovely is his work? The man himself - "herein lies the lure of painting; in a world of chaos, the picture is one small rectangle in which the artist can create an ordered universe" I like that...

l// found a packet of these old pocket dwellers by swizzles. They have been re-made to fit with the times, 'email me'... I am yet to find one that references twitter...

m// im so in love with SANNA ANNUKKA's (finnish/english illustrator and print maker) style of illustration. the folklore and nature theme is so strong and simple. she is probably most known for her MARIMEKKO designs. oh, i just want it all! /www.sanna-annukka.com

m// i love mixed media art, using different textures and elements to create an abstract story. these beautiful collages are by painter/sculptor ROBERT RAUSCHENBERG. his work became prominent in the 50s, moving from abstract expressionism to pop art.

still shots from a little animation we did a few years ago filming food dye in water. Unfortunately the animation was never finished, and I can't seem to find the original file...but the shots look interesting and I love the dragon like creature that appears in one of the shots.

m// a little something I did one day to give my brain a 'break' from a job, using found objects in my studio with old magazine clippings to create order, and then a character. I used to do similar pieces just for fun as a kid, but perhaps not so colour co-ordinated... M
