l// This weekend I went to the V&A to see their exhibition of quilts. Yes thats right ladies and gents I am a closet needle and thread addict, do you want blanket stitch? bullion knots? chain stitch? can do. The quilts dated from 1700 to the present day and included work by Tracey Emin and other wonders such as a quilt made in 1841 by women convicts aboard the HMS Rajah as they were being transported to Van Diemen's Land (present day Tasmania). The V&A Shop and Liberty Art Fabrics have collaborated on this limited edition collection of 18 quilting fabrics, 4 of the patterns are featured above, it's a lovely way to celebrate a fantastic exhibition. Thanks for the tip Trevor!
